Gen Con 2009 US Nationals Coverage

So after working through some fairly major technical difficulties with the ol laptop here, I am back! Back to bring you the coverage of the Anima Tactics US Nationals tournament and the end of Gen Con. We had a fairly decent turn out of 8 people for the tournament on Saturday. I am considering holding the big event on Thursday or Friday next year. This would allow people who wish to participate in other events on Saturday to be able to make it to ours as well. Some one remind me of that about 6 months out from Gen Con next year! After the dust settled the overall winner was Daniel Kissel …

Tim Crothers took best painted again with a different Wissenschaft team. Tim is not only a pretty good painter he is also prolific. Tim says he is on track to have just about every figure painted, some of them in multiples. Also Tim is planning to get 4 of each Agent so that he can model every combination of heads and weapons for each one. All I can say is, thank you and we salute you Tim!

As I stated before Saturday was the big day of the show. The convention center was packed to the gills and you could hardly hear yourself think over the sound of conversation and rolling dice.  We did our best to keep up with demoing and fans throughout the day and then stayed out far to late on Saturday night of course. On Sunday the show definitely wound down with most exhibitors conserving their energy for the breakdown that evening. Thank you to everyone we talked with at Gen Con and we hope the show was as successful and fun for you as it was for us.

P.S. a quick shout out to Justin Rigsby. Justin Volunteered to help us demo at Gen Con and like last year he went above and beyond the call of duty to help us get the show done. Thank you Justin we couldn’t do this without you. Justin is moving to Tokyo for college this year so we may not see him next year. We wish you luck with all your endeavors Justin.

Again I know my pics aren’t the best and I apologize for that. I hope they convey some sense of what being at the event was like as well as let you know what the winners look like, distributing the glory appropriately.
