Until you run across multiple stealthers in one team who could each easily walk inside Evangaline's control zone, or at least shoot from outside of it, and one shot her.
The Sain't council card is powerful, but the combination you mention is over 1/3 your points in a 300 point game. (50+40+5+10)
and I was pretty sure at Gencon it was ruled that a single seek action uncovered everyone in seek range; as one of my games came across that question as well; and I remembered AS' response.

It did amazingly well at Gencon too, the tactics game sold amazingly from what I saw, and the RPG books were selling really well too.
Shame FFG seems too stupid to realize they are sitting on a gold-mine.

A word of warning, if you are picking up the Anima RPG book make sure to check the binding. A friend of mine who works at a library puts a lifespan of 1-3 months on my book due to shoddy binding. I sent an Email to FFG and will be getting a replacement, but I thought I'd offer some good advice.
Make sure to check the binding before purchasing, or upon recieving your copy.

A real shame the offical website has gone unupdated for so long, anyone searching for this game online will probably be suprised how limited the information is from the main website.
Hope it gets updated in the near future.

Not to critisize, but base to base can make certain terrain look rather silly in practice.
For example, Kronen stands behind a small rock (one that only goes up to his knees) but his base is covered, so he technically isn't in Line of sight of the enemy.
It is practical, but in execution it looks silly.
This also makes cover look wierd in practice, since all that it has to do is cover a small portion of the base to give them the cover bonus, and all other situations it would simply lead to the character being out of LoS.
--- Not trying to rub anyone the wrong way, just throwing out food for thought.
I hope the rulebook comes out soon >.<

I believe Ironknight was referring to an "Official" ruling of which rules to use for Tournaments, since Tournaments are a competition, and having clear cut rules help lessen confusion.

I think Ki accumilation is how much Ki your character can "store" per round to use a technique or Ki ability. Ki is the pool of energy you draw from, which is derived from your stats. (Such as in your example) Your base Ki accumalation is most likely 1 without any points being put into it, so you only "store" 1 Ki point from your pool per round; but if you spend more points on Ki accumalation, and say start with an Accumalation of 5; you gain 5 instead of 1 to store per round. (Assuming you don't use up the points as you Accumalate them, or perform another action which cuts your Accumalation in half for that round) At least that is how I understood it.

I heard this before, and the tournament judges confirmed it for me, but I figured I would ask here.
Can Kirsten's ability "Champagne" be used to escape from combat without an escape check; and if so does it count as an escape action or a special movement (Like Damien + Alis's special abilities), for the purposes of a special ability such as the Black Lion's "Soul of a Beast."

I thought anybody with Ki or Magic abilities can hit someone who is Intangible, but normal attacks don't work unless your higher level or Intangible as well.
So anyone can hit her as long as they have a special attack, but they need to use a special attack to do it.

I think if you use her with the Saint Council team at 300 lv you're still pretty balanced. Assuming she's 50 Lv that means half of your party is dedicated to healing and support. You're only leaving yourself room for 3 characters or so to tank or deal damage. Someone coming at you with a swarm of tanks and/or damage dealers could easily tie them up and get to your supporters.
It may be a pain, but it won't be impossible to defeat. Really, we just have to wait until her stats are released to find out for certain how powerful this really is.
Unless she turns out like Janiel, and is a support character with decent combat ability; I was also under the impression she was around level 60+, so hopefully her point cost will keep her balanced. (Seeing as Evangaline is already level 50, and she isn't a High Saint) Her fluff text also makes it sound like she is Incorpreal (much like Damien is when he uses his special moves) which makes her much harder to deal with.

I really hope it isn't a revive, and more like a reactive ability that prevents a character from dying from a single attack, and it would be a once per game ability.
Otherwise a near-unkillable church team would be formed; it is hard enough breaking through the Saint Council.
