Easy enough, thanks for the quick answers. I'm sure that tech and I were not the only ones that were wondering. I assumed that you could not shoot while in melee, that seems to be a pretty standard rule, but you never know what those crazy Anime guys can do.

and even if you decide to play as light faction, you could always adopt a darker color scheme, claim to be of evil but just using their rules because you like how they run. like you would play as them if they lost their original motives and became the thing they hated. -gutz
You mean good guys can't wear black?

A bit off topic, but Malckuss, do you get your stuff at Metagames or the other game store in town (the name escapes me)? I don't live in Springfield, but it's only about an hour away so my crew and I are up there from time to time.

Anima - Tactics / News / Re: next wave?

The character focus is the Signature of Anima, but WARMACHINE has it's jacks as signature, only people tend to play INFANTRYMACHINE. Slight change of focus in the game.
I'll have to disagree with you Will, the signature focus of WARMACHINE are the Warcasters. Both Warjacks and Infantry are tools that the Warcasters have been able to use since Prime. Also, I don't think the way that players choose to build their armies amounts to a change in focus for a game. That is more up to the game company. well thats all fine and dandy unless the players choose to use what the focus was on before, for example if the focus shifted in anima I would use all charactors anyways. so the focus shift is somewhat player dependant What the players choose to focus on is completely independent of the focus of the game company. You can choose to focus on infantry and build a WARMACHINE army with no Warjacks, but that in no way means that Privateer Press has shifted the focus of the game that way. I can run a Dungeons and Dragons adventure with a party composed of nothing but Rogues but that does not mean that Wizards of the Coast has shifted the focus of the game to make it all about Rogues. That is the point that I was trying to make and I'm sorry if I made it hard to understand, it really has no bearing on this specific topic, I was just pointing out that Privateer Press has not shifted the focus of their game in the way that Will was suggesting. I didn't mean to hijack the thread so I apologize.

I for one hope that the game stays character focused as that is the primary reason that I'm picking it up. I already play both WARMACHINE and Hordes and wanted something on a smaller scale.

Anima - Tactics / Workshop / Re: Cardstock Modeling

As for Worldworks, while I'm not a fan of cardstock I've heard they make the best. Some of their sets are truly fantastic. That's the first time I've seen a combination of traditional modelling and cardstock though, but it came out very well.
I use WorldWorks stuff for most of my wargaming terrain. I picked up VillageWorks years ago and have been using it for WARMACHINE ever since. I'm trying to decide for Anima if I want to go with CastleWorks or ArenaWorks for the demo table that my brother and I plan on building. I would like to see how much terrain affects game play before I go one way or the other.
