Why does every single model with boots have their pants tucked in to them? Good model otherwise. Rest assured the GS will rectify the situation  Grin

If they had not got their pants tucked, you could not know they have large boots, I think, ha ha

Awesome. They look pretty sick, and I love the idea of two models but on one base.

The girl doesn't convince me. Dunno if it's the paintjob or the sculpt, but I'm leaning towards the latter.

Convince you how? The only (minor) problem I have with the sculpt(s) is their cheeks are a bit too puffy imo.

The shape of the face (puffy cheeks, as you say), and the eyes. Oh, the eyes. The girl's face is not 'sweet' enough... The little guy is OK with me, however.

Considering how freakishly small the faces of these two must be (even for Anima miniatures), I think Giraldez did a good job.

I'm not sure if even Bren could have done the eyes much better. Of course she is a cyborg so you never know what she's capable of...  Cheesy

All the different colors of the minis work together well and make them look more like a mini-diorama than a simple miniature.

I'll wait until I see the sculpt in real life before making my final judgement, though.

I don't think the Gothic Lolita w/ a giant Scythe is trying to look cute. Wink

She is very very creepy looking which I believe is the intended effect.

True, Wen-m's art makes her look cute but I prefer the creepy face the mini has.

I think it's very difficult to paint eyes on models this small (assuming they're smaller models) and don't forget these pictures are huge. I have to admit I also like the eyes on the boy better, however, I know what it's like to be a studio painter and sometimes you simply don't have time to fuss with everything for hours until it's 'ultimately super flawless and perfect'. It's about the finished product and I admire Angel Giraldez for the amount of painted miniatures he produces and he does a great job on all of them.

I applaud any painter who goes for that level of detail.

Getting a decent looking paint job isn't that bad for a miniature with nice detail.

Getting the level of detail we're seeing on the official models for Anima is an impressive level of effort with a great level of skill.

Even if some of the models don't appeal to my aesthetics as much as others, I can still appreciate the artistry that created the final products.

Lmao, she's still quite creepy in the art. Both Zack and Zafini are creepy, honestly.
