OK, I'm confused about what the "Full Plate" location fdor armor is. Also, what are the "SP" boxes on the sheet? Special, I assume? Finally, is a 10 in in a skill as a base good for 1st level? Thanks!

Full plate is complete, it protects the entire body except for the head

SP, it depends on the location on the sheet. the ones by initiative are for different combinations of the aforementioned trait from what i understand, the ones in the weapon or armor boxes are for if it  has a +5, +10 etc

and i guess the 10 would depend on what your characteristic  bonus is and other modifiers,  a summoner i made has 10 in occult  but due to other modifiers his final skill total is a 40

At level 1, if you want to be able to say "oh, i'm pretty good in this skill" you'll need at least a final rank of 40.

A skill with 10 points is something like "well, i've read a book about that" or "yeah, I used to climb trees all the day when I was a child"
