thanks for the links. they definitely help me pick which models i like. i find that many of my favorites come from just two organizations with a handfull of other standouts. after reading on this forum a bit i understand that there will be organization based starters released soon but they will use some duplicate models. i dont want to end up getting duplicates of even the best models and i sure dont want to be unable to buy an exclusive model thats in a set with 3 i already own. so is this a bad time to start collecting anima tactics models? is there a list of ones tat will be included in the sets later on so i can wait on them in case i like the exclusives? it just seems like between the lack of pictures and the repackaging into sets later this year im having a hard time shopping for what i want. dose anyone know some tips or guidelines that i can use to keep myself from getting doubles later on?

Hello everybody, I have just started Anima: tactics. I first saw the minis in the Coolminiornot store and always liked them. So I downloaded the rules from the english site (which I know is under work but urgently needs to be updated...almost no miniatures there ) The problem is i live in Portugal and I can't find Anima: Tactics anywhere... I have found a online store called arcane miniatures in the UK that seems to have all of the miniatures. Can you please recomend me some stores that sell Anima: Tactics in English in Europe? (if any of you have stores yourself that would be great too) In game terms I seem to prefer Samael, Empire and Church, but since I have seen Lorenzo and some art of the mechas to come I must add wissenschaft to the list... I guess I just don't like Azur (altough I must agree they have great miniatures like Hel and Alastor). Another question would be: where can I get more background info for AT? should I wait for the rulebook? I don't feel like buying RPG books just to read fluff... Thanks to everyone Didelet

Hi didelet. I'm in England, and use Arcane Miniatures to get my Anima figures. As you say, they do have a good selection. The only issue i have is that it takes 3-4 weeks for them to send the goods, so i don't know how fast you would get them in Portugal. Other than that, i've no complaints. As for gaming, i'm also a fan of Samael, but lately i've been collecting Wissenschaft and Azur because i just love the look of the miniatures. I can't wait to see what they do with the mechs because Wen's art looks awesome!

Thanks Michael. I think I'll really choose arcane miniatures to buy the miniatures. My biggest "question" about stores is that I see alot of them that already say they sell models that I belive haven't been realeased yet. So it gets a bit hard to say which one is better... (for example Saint Elenai and Ophiel, I have seen greens but I think they haven't been released yet) I have to agree that if the wissenschaft mechas end up anywhere near Wen's art they will be one of the best anima miniatures yet. Also I like the new Azur miniatures but I think they seem out of place next to the old ones (see Alastor next to Hel... )

I don't understand what you want to say. the Lords of the abyss (Hel, JErome, Deadmoon) are more or less azur freelancers. Les Jaeger (Kirsten, Reinhold, Kyler, Colonel) are the secret police of Togarini (one of the three nations inside the azur alliance). Both are under the command of the High Arbiter Aizen. So both have more common than with the High arbiter Alastor (surpreme leader of the armed forces from Bellafonte (an other nation of the azur alliance)) or High Arbiter Arkeid (Commander of the fortress "iron finger").

What I meant was in miniatures terms. Since I'm very new to all of Anima Universe I have no notion of story so far. I was comparing Alastor, in full armour and looking like a dark knight to the rest of the miniatures that have little armour and most look like pirates (my idea of Azur so far...)
To you recommend I buy some Anima RPG books or should I way for the rulebook, to learn more about Anima Universe?
Thanks

ah now I understand what you meant hum okle. first I'm a Azur and a Wissenschaft gamer Sure Azur is a sneaky and cheating army. But even with alastor and Arkeid it seems that they will be that. For playing I prefer the Les Jaeger before the Lords of the abyss. Because both teams have a good fighter (Dead Moon/Colonel) Both have a sneaky assasin (Jerome/Kyler) The Lords have a second fighter (Hel) but les Jager have a good distance fighter (Kirsten) and much more important for me a caster (Reinhold) with the Teamcard, which gives the Colonel the Arbiter ability for his team) les jaeger are much more tactical as the Lords of the abyss. hum if you're interested in the RPG then buy the Corebook if you only want play the miniature game the tactics rulebook will fits fine for you (there is also a lot of background fluff in it).

I'm a Wissenschaft (DUH) and Azur player, in that order. And I prefer the Lords of the abyss because their NINJA PRIATES! Need I say more?

Wissenschaft and Empire, that stuff. With Wissenschaft I have a no-Selene polcy in my army, and as soon as possible, no wanderers either. With Empire I try to keep from 6/10 moving models, and I like to field Cerebus Division team, just 'cause their fun.

That doesn't make much sense as Wissenschaft are masters at manipulation. Also you're wasting one of their Organization advantages then.

I just don't like Celia and Feng, and will not use wanderers as soon as XII is out. Maybe I'm taking my advantages away, but:
I just don't see any existing wanderer fitting nicely[miniaturewise] to my army[currently I use wanderers bacause I have to fill the gaps to 300lvls, but soon I won't need 'em]
and I heard that player chooses one of three organization advantages, in case of wissenschaft there are supposed to be three:
- put positive status on some minis, probably APs too? - two wanderer slots and two wanderer minis at lower cost - double the equipment points and allow the number of advantage cards to exceed number of character cards
I would choose 1st or 3rd if I had to choose.
Thirdly, I'm not much of a power-gaming type. I will not use some minis even if their great, if they don't fit for me. Makes sense to me, doesn't have to necessarily make sense to you.

I wish I could not play a powergaming list some times, but in my area, there are a lot of Warmachine players who go all-out, so I don't get much choice.

Well, you can do that if you want but Wissenschaft is quite open about using everything and anyone they can get their hands on.

I understand you. I also don't like to build my armies based purely on gaming. I always build my armies fluff wise, which most of the times means they are crap when compared to power gamer's armies. So I don't tend to win many games but I love my armies as I think they are always very unique. In anima: tactics this shows as I prefer to build my armies by organization (Samael, Empire, Church) rather than by faction (light, dark or neutral).
