So, I thought about getting the revised Shadows of Omega (as I never bought the original one), and I was wondering how do I tell the revised one from the older one on Amazon.

the revised one has a different cover (Eljared is on the Cover)

The old one has a mixed picture from the characters (kronen, Evangeline, Cennette, and others)

Thank you, I wanted to be sure that I get the right one, as I may also buy beyond good and evil with it (and hoping to buy the second expansion).

The rules themselves are the same. Some cards have been slightly edited to make them more compatible with Beyond Good and Evil.
However, there is nothing preventing you from playing the "old" Shadow of Omega with the add-ons.

I forgot they added the Crisis rules in the revised edition, I think. Basically the new rule is when the final mission is out there is a countdown where if no one beats the final mission in that countdown the world ends or something.

It is an interesting dynamic, last night couple friends and I played and ended up two of us ended up helping each other because we knew if we kept screwing each other over we were not going to beat the crisis count down.
