I have no idea where to put this thread, so I'll put it in here.

Is Dark Chesire spelt "Chesire" or "Cheshire"? His backstory in the rulebook has it as "Cheshire".

Is Janiel's bird named "Einjeil" or "Einheil"? The backstory writes it as Einheil, but the card and rules are Einjeil. Is it pronounced the same because it's Spanish?

Is the Fallen Angel Jigoku no Kami male or female? In Ayl's backstory it says "Jigoku No Kami has put Ayl temporarily in the service of Phiel to help him in his crusade against the Church. Jigoku has another motive for her placement, however, as he hopes that she will ..."
In Genma's section it says "Even the Fallen Angel Jigoku no Kami has recognized that regarding the summoning of supernatural entities, Genma is her only rival."

Does Bael want Ophiel's rice wine? "Bael lives exclusively for his sake..."

St. Hazael and an Alius have the same stats and abilities besides that Hazael can summon. It seems intentional (since Hazael is riding an Alius), but was it?

Why are almost all female characters close to 90-60-90 measurements? Notable exception: Morrigan, who's 110-60-90. A few females have chest sizes in the low 80s, but their waist and hips continue to follow the pattern.

What is The Wake?

I can answer a few of these.

It is supposed to be Cheshire, like a Cheshire cat.

I believe Jigoku no Kami is male, but I could be wrong.

As for Bael, this kind of sake.

Quote
sake
A   noun
   1    sake, interest
a reason for wanting something done; "for your sake"; "died for the sake of his country"; "in the interest of safety"; "in the common interest"
      Category Tree:
abstraction
╚attribute
╚quality
╚good; goodness
╚benefit; welfare
╚sake, interest
╚behalf

I'm pretty sure Hazael's stats are pretty intentional, since her guardian is an Alius.

I find the whole "measurements are all the same" thing kind odd, but the ratio is more varied then some people are willing to admit: 110/78-62/50-95/81 is the spread, and considering we are talking anime/supermodel proportions for all characters here, that is a pretty significant spread.

The Wake is a plane of existence between Gaia and the Spiritual Realm. A great number of Supernatural Beings (summons in particular) travel through/live there. Emotions of beings in Gaia can heavily influence The Wake, changing the forms of certain areas and influencing the inhabitants of the Wake. From my understanding, its appearance is that of a warped version of Gaia that is constantly changing, and several areas in the Wake are lorded over by incredibly powerful Supernatural Beings.

Discussion on the measurements thing can be found here (it was part of my review and the discussion is below):

Any background questions from the Tactics book can fit in here:

The "sake" thing is part of the problem with the English localization. Some words are used that might seem funny to either a native speaker or another learner of English.

Still, I don't see how the expression 'for someone's sake' is confusing...

Me neither, but I don't think this is an expression an English native speaker would use. But what do I know ^^

I don't know, I hear it used pretty often in fiction, its not an unusual phrase/expression by any measure.

For Heaven's sake guys, can we talk about the awesomeness of the book?  Consider, for the sake of argument, that for love and desire for Anima to be perfect, some may be overly picky.  Sorry, I couldn't resist. All very tongue in cheek for the sake of levity. Muhahaha!

Cheshire should be Chesire. Jigoku no Kami is male. Janiel's bird is Einheil.  Hazael's stats are correct. The measurements thing...here's my explanation...Some of the portraits were done in oil painting while some were taken with a Lost Logias camera, and you know a camera adds 10 pounds.

Kai, I really really love the book. I've been waiting for it for a long time and I enjoy absolutely everything about it. That I don't like the measurements thing is a purely personal point of view and I didn't let it spoil the book for me.

But I don't think that I'm being too nitpicky about the english translation and localization. It 'lacks'(<- former wording removed so no one has to edit my post Wink), and could have been done much better if one more person had sat down to proof-read.

I don't mind the conversation about typos and small errors at all.  That you care enough to buy the book and come on the boards to share your opinions makes us happy.
