Are you sure that's going to be the same Dereck?

Some miniatures have been renamed from their artwork, if I recall correctly.  And that guy in that picture has a technological suit of some kind, which makes me think he is probably from Wissenschaft faction.

Hi TomeF. Welcome to the forum.

Yes, that one is Dereck with a Jürganeth form Imperium. Sadly, in this moment we are not planing to releasease alternative characters until we have a whole series of units ^^

Hello,

I'm not fond of the "evolved" characters idea like Epic warcasters or 2nd Incarnations for Confrontation. The evolved character generaly "bury" is previous incarnation. That also make chronologicals problems when the evolution is du to the experiences of the hero (so, this character is older...All other characters have to be older...etc).

EDIT: Okay, that doesn't seem to be an evolution but an alternative character, that totally different. Grin
EDIT 2: Can you say us more about this Jürganeth form Imperium? Cheesy

Hello,

EDIT 2: Can you say us more about this Jürganeth form Imperium? Cheesy

If he said you then he would have to kill you  Grin

This artwork is better suited for the RPG book line of game.

By the way, just to make things clear: Imperium is not the same tham Empire. They are two different things.

Dereck is an agent of Imperium with sealed powers. Keep in mind they are too far powerful to be added to AT.

LOL

Sadly, lots of new miniatures need to be done first. That means no time nor funds to resculpt already released characters. At least not in an early future.

They are servoarmors (like ITG HIs Wink ). It's only that the tech they have is not 100% science but a mix between science and magic: technomagic.

I don't think it would be so terrible to have evolved characters. The way PP did their epics didn't bury the old characters in terms of play styles. I still take regular version over epic depending on how i feel because game play is still unique with them. Evolved characters would not be a bad thing if done properly.

I really appreciate that you will bring out several characters first, before thinking about alternate characters.

I also have to agree with the fact, that most players won't play the "level 1 version" of a character anymore, plus it is something like: Hey let's bring out a better XYZ, so people can spend more money! and I really don't like this kind of approach to games by their respective companies.

But something like character evolvement for campaign play might be interesting. I actually think about creating a character of my own with the rules from the big rulebook and then give him some levels after every game or something thus forming the campaignstory around the partyleaders.

Something similar to the Harbingers from Wargods of Aegyptus if you know that game (or Olympus or Hyperborea)
