His head IS farther forward than it would be in a normal posture.
However, IMHO, it looks like he's just leaning his head forward, very intense, very predatory. It adds to the feel of the model to me, although I can see how some people focused on anatomical correctness would complain, I really like the look.
I agree for my money he has the slightly hunched aggressive stance of a brawler about to kick off, I think its great! Anatomically I think it is well within the bounds of where neck movement would allow his head to be. I see where you guys are going, but I still think that it looks wrong... I've tried to mimick the pose in a mirror and it feels incredibly awkward and terribly unnatural (maybe my neck is a little short or something lol...). I suppose it is within the bounds of anatomical ability (barely), but still seems wrong to me. I hope this is taken as constructive criticism I'm not trying to upset anyone I just think it could be better. Maybe I'm seeing things wrong since I'm the only one who seems to have a problem with it... At any rate I still hope improvements are made before production.

I think your just your overemphsising the neck, I blieve he has his back bent a little as well. Of course, he could be just be more flexable then you.

See thats part of the problem when I looked at him, it appears to me that he is in fact standing rather straight up, if he were more hunched I think it'd look a bit more natural. It could also be due to his shoulders appearing low under the fur as well. I won't say its not possible its an optical illusion but I still believe it looks wrong... I don't doubt that he is more flexible than me right now, I hurt my back a while ago and still havent quite recovered . I really do hate to be nitpicky, but it really is an important part of the model. In my eyes its the equivalent of having an arm coming out the side of the ribs instead of on top...

Well that depends on top of what the arms comes out. Well under the coat he might be a little hunchbacked. Anyways I like the model and you have another opinion, that's fine with me. And for the productive criticism part: I think Anima Studios love productive criticism since it helps them to improve their products and it helps us (the fans) to get better products so just don't stop telling your opinion, ust because everyone else likes the mini.

See this line is exactly the stiff I wanted to see from the Exalted line. I'm loving these latest figs.

Oh damn...I told you not to remind me! But now I am sure, that everyone here will see how lucky we can be about Azriel, even if his head seems to be in a strange position.

OK, I see why you didn't want to be remembered of them.

Hrm, neck looks fine to me. He's definately bent forward but such a position is certainly possible. I think the raised neck on his jacket coupled with the feathers/fur on the back is really messing with how he appears. My guess is it's possible to minimize this on the paint job by painting the jacket in darker colors than the skin on the face.

You know, I don't really consider "Our minis aren't as bad as those!" as a good selling argument....

No, of course not...but look at the new anima tactic miniatures. They look great, even compared to other good miniatures (Rackham for example, or Warmachine). And I still like Azriel...

That's solely a matter of personal taste... I think that the quality as well as the originality of the sculpts is degenerating a bit since the first wave. A least, I have yet to see a green of a 3rd wave mini I'd be tempted to buy.
