Welcome back!  Let me make sure I have the most up-to-date version posted, and I can send you my notes on things that are bugging that I haven't corrected yet. That will likely be tomorrow night as I won't be home until pretty late tonight.

Do we have a most recent version of this floating around somewhere? Seems that now that I've settled into my new home, I have a group that wants to find out what this whole Anima thing I've been talking about is, and I'd like to see what has been done to it.

Arikail, I am working out some bugs and will be posting the latest version by end of the week.  If you want a link to the work-in-progress version (completely working, just some things needs fixin), send me a PM and I'll give you a link to it.

I can wait, I think. Will possibly be doing characters up on Friday, or using pregens, so I can wait until the weekend and then take care of everything. Thanks.

Looks like I won't get to work on it this week, I just got informed that I'm running a game this Saturday for Free RPG Day at the local game center.  And it's not even Anima.  Sad

Current latest version is: http://files.dynaesdarksbane.com/

Hello, first want to say thanks so much for this. Gonna make things much easier for me. But I have seem to found a bug or two. One guy has Hard to kill +30 on a weaponsmaster with 10 con and it still has his LP at 155 instead of 185. other wise so far it has been a great tool. Another is how to you change the damage for using a weapon two-handed and show the bonus to damage? Thanks.

Hello, I am currently creating a character with this sheet and have some questions.

First, are the multiple degrees of martial arts allready implemented? Because as I selected Base Degree Tae Kwon Do, I had no impact on the development points, but when selecting the Combat Module Tae Kwon Do - I lost 40, which is a score I can't explain. The normal degrees are there in the data sheets with their correct value, but I couldn't find the technical calculation part.
Is it even right to select the module first, and then the degree?

I think there is a possible error with the "Use of Armor" Advantage. The calculation part for wear armor doesn't include the per level bonus, but only sums up the invested points and adds the strength bonus on the printout.

..There was something else, but I forgot about it. Roll Eyes

But lastly I have to compliment this making. I've only used a simple one sheet character creator by someone else so far. But there was allways a need for possible class change implementation and all the module effects (you had to edit them in by yourself there).
But this one, by eyecatching design, the expandable entry blocks, the surprising search function in the data sheet, and the hidden details like the colorchanging Creation Point Counter (how did you do that by the way..)... . That you can re-edit your character at any point of its development via the split up level meter (..Dat oversight Smiley ). Designwise it can't possibly get any better.

When I created it, I made it only for the core book.  Additions have been made in my absence that incorporate the newer books, and I'm having to wait until I get those books to actually continue this work.  Right now I've been working on my OLD copy (core book only), to get it working correctly again.  Until these books come out (here), with these new martial arts and things, I'm just looking at the addendums with a blank stare, I'm afraid.  Sad

Smiley Ok, I totally know that feeling. I will get along.

I just discovered the calculation lines, so I can tweak them for my purpose for today.

///Edit: The other thing I forgot was that Quick Reflexes with 2CP gives +45 Initiative instead of +40. It follows the calculation rule +25 +20 +15 with each CP, so it sums up to 25 45 and 60.

Nice Work,

If only I had thought to check for a working link further into the posts than I did before I started working on my own.  I Suggest you edit and update that first post to point to the new site.

The colorchanging was done using Conditional Formatting in Excel. It's been a while since I dealt with it (thinking about jumping back on this sheet that Sphynx gifted us with), so I don't remember what tab it's on, but it's one of the options at the top of windows, in the toolbars. I've got a game going again, and I remember there were some things I forgot to do that I always meant to get to (like going through all of the advantages and making sure the calculations are figured correctly (whoops)). I will say I learned a lot about Excel while working on this sheet, and I would love to thank Sphynx for getting it started, the layout is entirely his, as is most of the basic info. I just spruced it up a little bit in some areas.

Thank you for the explanation, now I see.
Yeah, it was pretty much the same for me - learning about excel just with the projects I wanted to do. Error and trial, alot of google-fu, and then you suddenly have something you would never have expected to come out of you Smiley.

I don't know what you people planned in the future, but since magic, psychic, elan and also MK aren't really implemented yet, I would suggest to get them to the same per level flow design, so you can re-edit your spend points directly on some level in the past, and also monitor exactly the state on every level. (Right now, all the MK for example would just be spend all the time, no matter if you are level 10, where you spend all your points, or just skipped back to level 2 {where you would have gigantic negative MK then.})

But I think the main problem you run into at this point is the very same as with the wrong martial arts calculation. The calculation becomes circular, because you are using the users entry to adjust the list in the data sheet (for the purpose to prevent that the same abilities get chosen twice), but then you read out the values on the very same table. Stepwise it is like "Is not taken"(You can choose the ability)->"Taking is ok, switch'taken'-entry"->"Search Value via the 'taken' list" (that you just created with the very same user input). This is chrashing in excel, so, since all the supernatural abilities are also name and not number based like all the secondary and primary abilities (numbers are fine with that), you cannot get this flowing capability unless you come up with some sort of solution.
I guess the martial art thing at least could be fixed by just doubling the tables in some way - one for the data and one for the switches.
But I am not entirely sure on this, because all the "CONSTANATE"-stuff is rather new to me. Maybe it can be done on the same table, and you would just need to untie the reference from this 'taken'-list. This column is only needed to prohibit the user from choosing the same thing again, so I don't see why it should serve as a reference to find the right data row at the same time.

But also maybe, this is just too much right now if you are out of the project, considering I don't know anything about my older sheets anymore. Smiley Ah, well..
