I want to present you a game that happened a week ago. 2 new players that for the past few days were learning how to hsfe fun with Anima, played a game that amazed me at one moment.
I don't remember what adventage cards they had...

Empire:
Griever
Samiel
Kronen
Lilian
Odin
Claire

Church:
Romeo
Xavier
Luzbel
Evangeline
Justina
Alis

Church forces:

And Empire on the other side of the mountain:

When Justina climbed the mountain to have a clear line to everybody on the field, Kronen charged Xavier, wounding him. Xavier hit back also making a successfull hit.

Then Griever, Romeo and Samiel joined the party. Little damage was made for both sides.

Evangeline healed Xavier, Claire said "hello" to Romeo, and Odin said "goodnight" to Alis.

After that the turn have ended and I left for few minutes to buy something to dring. When I came back the game was over... Huh When I asked what happened they said that Romeo did a God's Wrath buffed with The Blessed Sword and rolling a 10. Shocked Low rolls on the dodge for Empire just killed them in that momment. Dies Magna killed Griever. Justina sealed and killed Samiel. Lips sealed Xavier charged Lillian killing her. Odin who had 5hp was pushed into the mountain by Evangeline.

After that the Empire player said that he will not play against Romeo ever again. Roll Eyes

Hey, if that Empire player let Romeo sit there with 5 Miracle tokens and not be shaking in his boots, I say this serves as a valuable lesson on how you need to REALLY focus on taking down Leaders.

On another note.... Ow for the Empire guy

Romeo started with 1 token, prayed on that turn, suffered damage from Claire, Alis died, and next turn prayed again. It's easy to gaint tokens if you are in the center of the battle. Imagine if Marchosias would be there...

Gaining tokens is easy. Killing Romeo to make sure he doesn't spend them is the counter to that. He's only 9 Defense and 3 Armor with 16 LP, so on the defensive he isn't that hard to bring down.

Unless Astraga or Evangeline are there, then it gets a WHOLE lot tougher. And from the looks of it, it did.

I would commit a lot to try to taken down Romeo. He's simply that darn good.

Cause seriously, those Miracle tokens will mess you up. And Dies Magna or Caedus Celestia is like getting hit by a freight train.

Necropost, sorry.

Faq says that area attacks with keyword "each" requires separate roll against each target. Thus, Romeo's God's Wrath wont autocrit anything for insane damage with just one lucky roll.

Being revised:

Q: What determines whether an AOE attack uses one roll that is applied to all the characters in range, or makes a separate roll against each eligible target in range?
A:AOE attacks using the keyword "All" use one dice roll that is applied to all eligible characters in range, whereas AOE attacks using the keyword "Each" makes a separate roll against each eligible target in range.

is being replaced with:

Q: What determines whether an AOE attack uses one roll that is applied to all the characters in range, or makes a separate roll against each eligible target in range?
A:AOE attacks roll only once for both "Each" and "All" keyword AOEs

My mistake, thanks.

However, they made a quite debatable decision. It means that with Gnosis it is quite possible to cripple much of opponents forces with just one attack.

And now you know why me and Zeru fine the Legacy of Solomon to be one of the most scary models in the game. Unlimited allows you to attempt such a devastating attack EVERY SINGLE TURN. If you crit with unlimited and hit at least half their team (typically 3 characters) you very likely won the game.
