I liked this, particularly the breakdown on how to make characters.

Thanks!

Just found this... haven't had a chance to explore it in depth yet, but I find it really amazing so far!  Would love to see a monster book done similarly... Grin

*Cough* *Cough*...not that that's a tall order or anything...  Grin

Reading at the moment. Like it.

Wait, Cahar is an Austrian? Ich kann ihm meine Anmerkungen auf Deutsch schicken?

Ah, its allready written in English...

Regarding Magic Path Levels. Maybe you should note somewhere total and after Char. generation. Or an Spell list?
Or an explanation in the Character Creation Walkthrough, how many spells the Char. got?
Mihaela Tomescu would have Darkness 40 (40) and Illusion 25 (50), correct?

Sample Characters:
Maybe some pointers, what a char can do, what he is good at.
Some (like the Dark Paladin) have those explanation.

Question:
page 21, Calvin Boondock
Quote
When forced to fight, Calvin prefers to always strike first and he even manages to land the first blow if the enemy surprises him. He tries to stay in motion during combat all the time, which often makes his style look chaotic, but also makes him hard to predict.
How does he do that?

Hey Korwin. Don't worry about posting later, I appreciate all feedback and questions.

And you can send me a PM in german here or on the german forum whenever you want Wink

Guidebook Vol1, Page 16, Supernatural Level:

We did not use any restrictions on things like available Martial Knowledge or Magic Levels. You can find rules for these restrictions in the rulebook and in the GM Screen book.
This is also the reason why there's no spell list. If a GM applies a different limit, the spells would change.

Like you said, some characters include this and some don't. It wasn't really a requirement as the Guidebook isn't there to explain all the rules, but it's there to show what characters using them look like. Of course now the trend for Volume II seems to be to include more explanations so that will change. ^^

On Calvin.: I guess you shouldn't take everything I write too literally. I often get carried away during writing and I might write down something that isn't possible in the rules.
I guess with a really good roll combined with his Quick Reflexes advantage, Calvin could manage to have a better initiative than someone who has Surprise over him, but of course not regularly.

Thanks for the feedback!
Cheers,
Peter

I downloaded the guidebook and would like to thank the various writers for creating this. The Wizard/Mentalist creation in the beginning was very helpful [although I am still slightly confused].

I might be new to Anima The RPG, but not to roleplaying games in general. I've played Palladium Books, D20 Modern/Future most recently.

Go ahead and post them. We'd love to see what you've got. Might want to start a new thread, of course. But user contributions are always appreciated.

Thanks for the awesome resource.
This is going to be really helpful.
I will let you know what I think of it after I get to digest some of it.
