Holy crap! That looks sick. I was expecting a lame "Al Djinn the Mystical Genie" from Yu-Gi-Oh.

Good to know I was delightfully wrong.

Oh my god... I might just need a Yu-Gi-Oh! themed summons team now Cheesy Elhaim wouldn't take much modding to be dark magician girl (though it would be better to find something with wings, must search). Ahriman as Dark Magician. Hehe! I'm way too jazzed  Cheesy Arias vayu as Time Wizard with a bunch of Baby Dragons as crystals! There's no way this could fail!

Restricted Combo Al Djinn + Covel and Al Djinn + Gemna >__<
Recently play versus this paty:
Innate Mystics
Covel + Djinn
Gemna + Djinn
Bella + Aqua
Bael
Aoi

8 characters and 8 agents from Al Djinn!!!
Agents lock my characters in HtH (Hand-to-Hand battle) and they kills ranged attacks.
Bad bad balance!

While the list certainly looks annoying, it isn't anything that some AoE characters and/or ranged characters on elevated ground can't handle.

It would be near impossible for the Al'Djinn's to pump out that many agents. They can throw out 2 each on the first turn, then 1 each on third turn, then be out of AP for the rest of the game if they maintain that many Ash Slaves.

You could abuse Transfer Rod to get around this, but that is a LOT of AP NOT going into anything else. (Anywhere from 8-12 AP from other Mystics, and 4 AP each turn from both the Al'Djinn)

Also, I don't see how they are killing you with ANY ranged attack other then Dark Sun, as there is no ranged-hitters in that list other then Bella.

There are lists against which you have to choose your melee fights. In this one, it seems to me that getting to the al-djinni and killing them was a necessity. Perhaps that strategy brings losses, but the threat must be averted from its source. You could try and skewer the summoners, too. Anything but stay locked in fruitless melee against units without even victory points value.

To add to was planeswalker said, escaping from melee is always an option, and I notice many players tend to forget this in the middle of a game.

Hitting the Al'Djinn should be fairly easy, as they will be completely out of AP if they are pumping out that many Ash Slaves. Genma and Covel are both fairly fragile as well, so targeting them isn't a bad idea either.

The entire list is honestly pretty fragile, the Al'Djinn are about the toughest characters on the list, and as I mentioned above, they will be out of AP most of the time. If you avoid/break past the wall of Ash Slaves the list should fold fairly quickly.

Last week I played against an interesting Al Djinn combo, in an Azur team:

High Arbiter Aizen
The Colonel
Bellith + Al Djinn
Harod
(something else..? I can't remember what)

So Al Djinn copied the Colonel with Absolute Change, and there were three characters tossing out Arbiter Orders against me! Aizen at least had Arbiter Points, while the two Colonels had to spend their own AP to mostly abuse Opugnis. Mind you, there weren't that many characters for them to spend orders on who weren't Arbiters, Summons or of equal Level. Still, it made for an interesting match.

In hindsight, the Colonels may have been better off spending their two AP to use a regular attack of their own, although watching Harod attacking three or four times in one turn like a puppet was kind of amusing.
