This thread is to announce the various Demonstrations and other non-convention Activities I will be hosting unlike the previous threads this one doesn't have a date attached and I'll use it till I get back to a regular schedule.

Not only is this thread for announcing anything I am running but if you need to get in touch with ne here is a great place, on top of that if anyone else wants to run an (Anima Tactics) event in Australia and would like to post their day here, feel free.

DEMONSTRATION EVENT #30
CELEBRATORY EVENT
Saturday October 15th 2011

With the conclusion of my latest campaign, Dark is the Fallen Sky its time to relax and have some fun with Anima so for one day only I will be in Mind Games and I plan to run a special event with as many players in a single game as I can!

Each player will get either 150 levels, 100 levels or a single figure to command (Depending on player numbers).  Players will be divided into teams to play each other en masse.  There will be two rules in effect, first round to round something special will happen randomly.  Second, players can only talk tactics with another player if their character is within control zone range!

This isn't a serious event and is a bit short on notice but it should be a great little break.  Their might even be a second event for the winner of the Campaign... if theirs time.

To top all that off it will still be a Demo Day so new players are welcome, I'm more than happen to show how the game works.

I'm coming over to Melbourne for New Year, but I wasn't holding out much hope of a game in the silly season. I take it you won't be at ConQuest over Easter next year either? Maybe I should consider coming up for Arcanacon instead. Are you planning to hold a tournament, or just run demo/pickup games?

I'm not too sure what I'll be doing at Easter/ConQuest, I'm not able to plan that far ahead anymore really.  Probably though I will b spending it looking after my Grandma.

Because I am such a Nerd I will probably be running a demo day on the 31st of this month and definitely the 7th of Jan.

At this point I will just be running demo's at Arc.  Though I have been thinking about doing a Q&D Tournament, though its probably to late to organize it.

After Action Report

For all those who came in late...

The weekend before Christmas saw one of my Demonstration Days come and go with a fair crowd of attendees.  Most of the regulars put in an appearance and several matches were fought out as "mostly" friendlies.

During the day I spoke to a few people bout the ins and outs of Anima and wargaming and with the Pre-Xmas shopping crowd going through it was a busy afternoon.  Though I managed to slip in a direct demonstration and pass out my contact info to some others.

Only managed to take a quick photo for the event of Jordan and Sen having a match.

After Action Report

For all those who came in late...

This past weekend saw a quiet day for the last day of 2011, quiet but fun.  While I was a little late in getting to the store I was soon met by Shiro_Kuro and we got to catching up.

Pretty soon we were joined by Sen and Mecha and a big match (300 levels) got underway between Sen and his Samael forces and Shiro's Wissenscraft with much side discussion and off topic talk.

It looked like a pretty intense battle with both teams trying to take control of the high ground as Samael advanced under the guns of Wissenscraft while making use of the dense terrain as cover.  Each player proceeded to  inflict hurt on the other but failed to really take anyone down until well into the match where each side swayed back and forth for a victor.

Unfortunately I had to call things off for the day at an early time so the match ended in a Draw of about 150 level for each side.  Much to my chagrin the moment we packed up I got  call canceling what I had to rush off to.  Ah well, there's always another time.

Collected After Action Report

For all those who came in late... including me

Hi all.  It's been a great while since I wrote one of these reports, mostly due to my change in location and a lack of desire on my part to sit down and share.  After this last weekend though i really wanted to get back into the swing of things and im hoping to start painting Anima as well soon.

Unfortunately it seems that the Universe is against me and I didn't remember to take a single photo across this last weekend.  Worse, all the Photo's I have previously gathered but failed to report seemed to go bye-bye last time I updated my phone.

Hurdles aside.  For the last year I have been irregularly running Demonstration days which has seen a slight change from my normal way of things.  Rather than seeing most of my regulars I have instead spent many more weekends teaching complete newcomers tot he game.

Although their have in the past been a few pitched battles, most of this past year has seen Kronnen and Evangaline face off against Cheshire and Bael time and again.

At my latest weekend I spent most of the Saturday going over the bare basics of running the game, but otherwise was engaged in discussions about the alternate aspects of Anima such as painting and modelling.  Specifically the conversions that I do to my figures.  Near to the end  I was also able to get in a small 150 point starter fight with the light and dark teams bringing in some ringers.  Lin Pao for the Light and Janiel to turn Dark into a Samael unit.  While the match didn't have an end it was fun for the turns it lasted.

Sunday was surprisingly busier than the day before with more people stopping by to ask questions and while I sped through my explanations I fielded questions of all sorts related to Anima once again and compared notes over Wen's artworks with one of his fans.

It looks like that may have been the last chance for 2012 that I will have to run a Demonstration but im planning on a series of events for early 2013 and will be at Arcanacon demonstrating at the gaming Convention.
