I thought Arcana Excett was next in English?

There are no English translations of Anima books in the pipeline confirmed by FFG at the moment.

If they follow the same order of release as in Spanish, Core Exxet is up next as Arcana Exxet uses the new magic spell notation found in Core Exxet.

Actually, Arcana and Core came out simultaneously in Spain.

True. I guess the point I was making is that if you had to pick one to come first it would have to be Core Exxet as parts of Arcane Exxet rely on it. If FFG releases them together then that would be better.

Actually, I only bought Arcana -I don't have the cash to buy a new core rulebook- and it's for the most part entirely compatible with the old rules.

I thought i read in the spoilers on Arcana's release that any improvements to Anima are backwards compatible?
Am i right in saying this?
I will clarify if needed.

You could reverse engineer the new stat block fro spells in Arcane Exxet to the old rules, but it would be unexplained extra step. It would be unusual for a company to expect customers to deal with that and, as such, suggests to me that we are more likely to get Core Exxet first or at the same, than Arcane Exxet.

However, we haven't had any indication from FFG either way, or even if there will be more Anima translations. So this is all speculation.

Actually, the new spells in AE work with Core Exxet rules, but the few changes are explained there and I've found no difficulty in using them with the old system myself.

FWIW I hope you are right about the order being AE and CE. I still think we will see them either simultaneously (given that's how they were released in Spanish) or CE then AE (given that's how the design flows).

If you have heard something to the contrary, please feel free to add something to this thread.

If you want a translation. Google seems to do an adequate job, with Spanish, at least.
