Wolfgang is available at FRP games.

Yeah I decided to bit the bullet and order him along with Sarah.  Seeing how Azur Alliance is organization I least play this was going to my buy later list, but I love the figure and he is a character that might get me to run a Azur party finally.  I have all the units so I should get off the pot already.

Now to gather up some cash for a big gear purchase I've been holding off due to some other models coming out I've lusted after.  But then there is Anna Never!

The question now is, it is very likely Church box set will be coming out next month with I'm guessing Anna Never, but who will be coming out with her...The Bearer?  It would only seem logical to release a unit that ties into the Org box set being released, but who knows.

I think we would be more likely to get Fate, or Juliette.

I think we would be more likely to get Fate, or Juliette.

Or Type-009, another unit we know about but haven't seen up for pre-order.  Or Sigma Zero that's been up for pre-order for awhile.

I'm just speculating seeing how it would be logical to capitalize on the interest in any Organization gets when the boxset for that group is released. by releasing a new unit along with said boxset.  The next one is Church so I originally thought they were going to push back Sarah, but they didn't.  Add to the fact Anna Never was a surprise solicitation only a month ago I wonder if they got another trick up their sleeve.

The bad boy is a two piece unit, with the left arm fitting nicely with the the rest of the body.  Some slight tweaks make him better in that Poison Ramalen only effects enemy units.  But I guessing they meant Poison Weapons effect goes up to 16 if it causes damage not Poison state.  Still a very nice unit for Azur

Wolfgang Metzger
Warrior - Level 40 - Dark

Att 5 Dmg 5 Def 8 Arm 2 LP 14 Res 10 Speed 8/12 AP 3/4

Poison Ramalen: Whenever an enemy unit that comes into base-to-base contact for the first time with Wolfgang they suffers Blind Lv 2 Effect 14.
Son of the Naga: Enemy units within Wolfgang's Control Zone suffer double damage due to the Poison state.
Poisoned Weapons: If any attack made by Wolfgang causes damage, the target suffers Poison Lv 2 Effect 14.

OOO Cupra (Ki, Attack)
+4 Attack. If this attack causes damage, the effect of the Poison state is 16 instead of 14.

The advantage card is basically the same as spoiled but here it is any ways.

Black Candle

Type: Equipment
Organization: Azur
Action: Automatic
Level: +10

All enemy Units within the Control Zone of the character carrying this card lose 1LP during the Upkeep Phase. Effect 13.

Mercenary, executioner, murderer ... there isn't an infamous title that Wolfgang hasn't taken to heart. His great physical prowess isn't the only reason that he has become part Gaul's personal forces. The blood of the Naga runs through his veins, making him able to poison his enemies with just a touch of his skin.

Has anyone tried running Wolfgang with Kujaku Hime? Seems potentially a potent synergy to me.

True but you can't make an Azur team that way :p

It's a way off but I'm considering running something like this

Arkeid (85) + Life Potion (5)
Wolfgang (45) + Supernatural Weapon (10)
Kujaku Hime (50) + Serum (5)
Juliette (25) + Gnosis (5)
Adolf(45) + Control Bound (5)
Claude(45) + Rafael's Gift (5)

Org Adv: Absolute Control

More of a real mix-up just-for-fun team than a serious competitive list, Arkeid, Juliette and Absolute Control give room for a lot of relocation shinanigans particularly with Claude - there's 3 sources of Poison in the team but it does enough else (anti-Armour from Kujaku, other status from Adolf, ranged attack from Arkeid and Kujaku and a tar-pit in Claude) to hold its own against the Church and immune to poison teams and has 2 characters with Initiative to boot.

From this team I just replace Claude by Harod, Wolfgang in itself is already pretty good tank, and adds a lot more potential poison with Harod.

Wolfgang is not a tank though, he only has average ARM and less LP than Claude and no defensive abilities unlike Claude who, at best will encourage your opponent to attack him at all for fear of counters.

Except that Wolfgang is a far better offensive character and can blind opponents just by being in h2h with them. He can also spread poison around and make any opponent afflicted with it afraid to attack.
