Too bad they won't change him, maybe in the new book?

Well it seems their answer is to add Plot cards and special rules on other undead units to enhance them.  Didn't you notice the Commander modification on this dude works on Type-005.  And its been hinted at another plot card in the works that give Type-005 and Type-009 some special Infiltration ability.  I'm guessing it will give Infiltration to Type-005 and break the rule for having more then half your party in Infiltration.  Maybe allow an extra marker or allow more then one unit to emerge from a single marker.  That with Elite Squadron could make an Undead horde with Type-005 and Type-009 pretty dangerous while covering up their weaknesses.

I'm surprised no one else has mentioned the type-009s shadow ability giving you a cheap way to dominate mode matches like Wissenchaft

Not quite as good as Wiss since it still leaves him a DR unit and Infiltration actually hurts you the first round in node since marker don't count as units.  But it makes for excellent Sniper, Summoner, and Support killer units.  Throw them out their and either Imploded them or Nuclei.  Bye bye squishy enemies.

I have only now realized that the Commander upgrade has the designation Type-010, even though Type-10 is supposed to be Cutthroat, the predecessor of the Hunter! Either someone overlooked that or a retcon is approaching fast...

Might be true as the Cutthroat might have also been the name of the Slayer seen in the RPG.  Personally I hope the Slayer comes as its own unit since its very distinct looking.  I would hope its given say a Type-002 or Type-020.

Well this bomb is up for pre-order at FRP Games. Type-009: Deathhead along with the Wiss Box set are set as July releases.  Sadly not pics for either, but with Anna Never looking like a June baby I could see these guys coming out in July with either Sigma Zero or Fate.

Does Wissenchaft box? Samael are skipped because not enough characters with small base ...
¿Celia, Hiro, Lorenzo, Feng Yi, Alessa and Rayne? I let out to Veronica and Cordelia, for them to have exclusive cards.

Yes we can speculate but there has been a lot of that here.  Link

For the most part I try to say focused on the Grateful Dead fan that is the subject of this thread.

I posted the pic for the Type-009: Deathhead in the Neutral section, and the only thing I'm a little disappointed in is it doesn't have separate whip finger bones.

Model is pretty cool but I feel like they missed a big opportunity with the fingers to be an epic model

They are available in the Cipher Store and soon everywhere else as well.  Type-009 Deathhead

The Type-009 is Black Sun's latest evolution of elite unstoppable necromantic weapons. They have no qualms with destroying themselves to destroy their designated target.

My one question is if they destroy themselves, does anyone get VP?  This came to me when thinking of the commonly accepted belief that if a unit "destroys" itself with say Doom produced by their own ability "Doom" or Fate Clock that their opponent gets the VP.

Yes, of course. They are a lost unit, even if they sacrifice themselves.
