Play with it, learn it, when you get bored with it experiment with other units. Nevertheless good start for an empire player.

Good that I don't own Samiel. Is it really effective to put two support units in an Emprie list?

As for your list, It really looks fine. You will have to do some hard choices during combat because you have 2 good  offensive units like Valentine and Samiel, and you can make Macbeth just as dangerous with all your buffs but when one of these three dies its a major blow to you pushing power not to mention if valentine gets into close combat it might be hard to support her as you wont have any spare 2nd liners apart from lilith. My advice is to not let the enemy encircle you. If you have to gang up on one character be sure that your  flanks are not very threatend.

Cool thanks for the advice...I'm pretty sure Lilith van hold her own well if things too hairy...
As for putting two supports i has some good luck in the past with that..

I never played lilith much so I can't say anything about how she does well when it comes to repeling melee assaults but I would take a lot of time thinking about what to do when your up against Azur or Black Suns numerous units. Probably most effective lists against yours would be

Arkeid/Aizen
Ligori
Puppet Master Trio
 + extra

and

Clover
Raziel
Raziel

And various Controlers

Clover here would be particulary nasty because  you will have to engage him with either lilith or Lilian

Empire - Combat Mastery:

Lilith 75 + Supernatural Devourer 5
Macbeth 55 +  Raphaels Gift 5
Samiel 50 + Orb of Power 5
Claire 45 + Supernatural Weapon 10
Adler 40 +  Clock of Chronos 5
Sophia 35

Basically i just buff Lilith, Samiel and Claire as much as possible and hope to kill something before i loose one of my heavy hitters. Gladly enough all 3 of em got decent armor values

Anyone got any suggestions for improvement on lineup or Advantage Cards?

That is pretty stock list if you ask me. Empire got another one must have mini.

are almost a must in today lists. Not that Empire won't work differently but a list with these models buffs so much your characters making them possessing great attack values to the least and if you include the new Primal advantage card on your attacker you do plenty of damage too.

I mostly agree with your statement except for Sophia.
Lilith is underpriced for AP 4 attacker-support, but in case of lv shortage sometimes is replaced by Yuri.
Macbeth is a must due to his multipurpose role.
Samiel is a must due to his unique mechanic.
Adler is an unparalleled buffer. I think he alone worth changing from Samael to Dark faction.
