Hello,

I came upon a rather peculiar situation the other day while playing a game. We had an Ignis (summon) close in a crystal from Arias Vayu. According to the Ignis' profile whenever a units comes in base to base contact with it for the first time, that unit must make a resistance check of suffer damage. However the crystals for Arias Vayu do not have a resistance score. So happens in this case?

The way we played it was that the crystal get instantly destroyed.

Lacking official input, I would have them roll with Arias' Resistance.

I would actually say they aren't subject to that effect on Ignis. It's been back and forth, and I'm not sure where it's landed specifically at this point. But I think that the crystals no longer count as units (for death effects and what not). If that's the case, I don't see why they would be subject to that rule.

The crystals are supposed to be fragile and easily destroyed. Making them immune to the effect or giving them a resistance score equal to that of Arias seemed to defy that purpose hence the auto-destroy mentioned above.
I'd actually be interested in hearing anything official on this though.

This is pretty important since other characters have automatic damage as well.

I think they should have a lower resistance than Arias herself. I'd probably rule them a resistance 8 since that is the lowest resistance value I've seen in the game.

Crystals are immune to negative effects, it's on the Arias Vayu's card. That mean they automaticaly succeed an effect roll against any bad effect they could suffer, as Ignis burning rules, Reindhold Obliteration etc (not only negatives status).

Wow, thanks Ten.
I should re-read things before posting a half-baked impression. ^^;
