This should be an interesting change of pace. I'll consider what you said about combat being tedious in PBP, it's like 2am where I am and I have no idea why I am still awake. ANYWAYS, I had a few ideas for skill-based characters before, I'll just go dig them up later... Hang on... would be better to have a good mix of scientists, people with medical knowledge or historians or people well versed in the supernatural.

It works for me too, I do like me some anima style crazy combat but if it's as bad pbp as you say I dont see a reason to try and focus on it.

I'm thinking of building a creation/essence wizard with a focus on intellectual skills. Have to take a better look at things when I get off vacation and back to my precious books  If we were more combat oriented I was thinking about a boxer (he'd have more than boxing though his style would look a lot like boxing) with the eyes of death (can't remember the exact name) who greatly disliked killing people, which becomes interestingly difficult when you are autocriting (since I'm away from my books I also hadn't looked up the knock unconscious rules so it might have actually worked..) |

I have narrowed down my options to either an Ancient Blood Scientist or a heavily tracking and skills-based ranger, depending on what skills the party need most.
