I have having a problem translating a line from the book of the dead. Has anyone translated it? If they have, it is the last sentance of the first paragraph of Necromantic Transformation:

Estos seres son siempre no muertos superiores; pueden elegir a voluntad si ser afectados o no por las habilidades que tienen únicamente como objetivo a las criaturas nigrománticas.

Anyone able to translate this, woudl be much obliged! Thanks!

"These beings are always superior undead ; they can choose whether to be affected or not by abilities targetting necromantic creatures."

Quote

Yup he was part of the Seeker team that found the book and it was said by AS I believe all of Seekers directly in contact became powerful Superior Undead.  Not all of them are still with BS.

Clover's A:T entry:

"Warrior, officer ... and more than human, Clover is one of the five original Black Sun seekers who found the Book of the Dead more than a decade ago. Transformed by his contact with the forces of unstoppable power contained within that fell grimoire, he is neither dead nor alive. As the member of the Delacroix family most suited to military command, Clover is now the leader of Black Sun’s security forces, the largest private army on all of Gaia."

Ah thank you much Smiley I don't play the Tactics game, though it was one of the english translators for Tactics that told me about it that got me intertested in the actual universe Smiley And I do have some of the minis! Because they are just so cool.

So on a different note, if they can pick and choose if they are affectable by things that affect necromantic creatures, does that mean that they can ignore the Undead Anthama power of the book? I thought it was wierd tghat a book that creates undead and wants to turn all of existance into undead would be unable to be used by such.

ANd is it only those with higher Natura that get turned into Greater Undead or ANYONE who is turned into an undead by the book?

As I read the ability, anyone in direct contact with the Book is changed into an Undead, though you only gain DP if you have high Gnosis.

As to the "Superior Undead", my three cents:
- you could play it by the rules and read it as only affecting abilities that TARGET Undead - since the Undead Anathema power doesn't target, they're screwed Cheesy
- you could play it as only being relevant for "regular" powers - not powers from a millenia-old tome containing the secrets of unnatural necromancy Grin
- Or, the beings converted by the book can indeed ignore this ability.

We'd have to ask AS for the official stance on this.

I'd rule it as the 3rd.   They are SUPERIOR after all.

If it is anything like the tactics game, it would be the third. You are Undead when it is convenient, and not when it isn't.
