Hi there
I am very new to this game and just wondering what information is out there regarding alternative rules/scenarios.
For example are there any fan made or generally accepted scenarios which are not in the core book? Are there any scenarios in the book, which are generally not played in tournaments due to any reason?
Also are there any alternative rules out there? For example, rules on campaign style games, where characters level up or gain experience? Or literally absolutely anything?
I love the rules, the system, and the scenarios i find the core book. I'm just wondering what is out there.

As far as I know no such rules exist. There is slight possibility for them in Saga III rulebook.

I guess you could work out advancements using the appropriate organization agent options? Although the balance would probably suffer, if everyone's on the same page it might provide some fun.

The Saga III rulebook is largely an community assumption at this point as I don't believe there has been any official hints as of yet. Given the large number of models released for Saga III, the introduction a new Organization (Black Sun) and the arrival of Optional Leaders, there would seem sufficient material to warrant a new book alongside a long list of FAQs and Errata that need an official printing. Hopefully we would see some additional or revised scenarios with the book as well.

Also I want to point that Saga III is now bigger than Saga I or Saga II. As for now values for Saga I + Saga II VS Saga III are:
Azur: 12 VS 8 (optional leader is expected at least)
BS: 0 VS 12
Church: 12 VS 6 (optional leader is expected at least)
Empire: 12 VS 6
Samael: 12 VS 4 (optional leader is expected at least)
Wiss: 12 VS 5
Wanderers: 11 VS 6 (Bella and Aqua as the one, shinobi counted as wanderer)
Summons: 2 VS 5 (aeons expected by the players)
BS are newcomers so they are on their own grade. Others had 12 models for two sagas, and judging by Azur we can expect around ten models for each of old factions. Old rulebook had 73 chars total (if I hadn't made some simple mistake), Saga 3 have 52 models as for now with ten more expected due to spoiler image in the Arts thread. Also Bridgette (girl near Clover) and some girl like Deimon but with red psychoactive crystals are expected as well, and some more for samael. So we can expect the new Saga III to have it's own rulebook.

Lizbeth has a solid point based on the numbers. Church: 12 VS 6 (optional leader is expected at least)
Samael: 12 VS 4 (optional leader is expected at least) Church and Samael both already have received Optional Leaders (Marchosais and Covel respectively). Did you mean they're each expected to receive full-blown Leaders? |

Summons: 2 VS 5 (aeons expected by the players) Aeons might not come out this Saga, heck they don't even have Void Summons on the horizon yet. I except them in the Saga IV or beyond, since they look very difficult to integrate in the current structure and base size. I'm guessing they were being a little forward thinking and put in the rules in for them so they can release units Belith that have a special rules they don't want to transfer over to demi-god-like Aeons. -ape2020 |

But still there might be hope for at least one Aeon or void summon. At least it was heavily rumoured a long time ago.

It was heavily rumored they would eventually come out like Bosses or Selene or more Org Advantages. Meaning not likely in Saga III but in Saga IV or beyond if ever. -Ape2020 |

That's quite possible.
Anyway, even without Aeons I suppose we can expect some more summons or black sun minis, so the Saga III rulebook will be as big as Saga I+II.
