I was looking for more information regarding typical Sul'Aman completion requirements for Ebudan characters, and it proved to be rather scarce. I only managed to determine that Anima Studio ostensibly at one point said it was intended to be completed at level 7 at the earliest, assuming they were working towards that goal the whole time.

So, what are your experiences with Ebudan nephilim characters and their quests, if any? They seem like a very cool character type (I'm a sucker for winged angellic beings) but I'm wondering if this open-ended nature of their development tends to scare people off.

The ebudan nephilim in my game has a quite challenging one: killing and replacing Noah.
I believe Sul'Aman is intended to have wildly varying degrees of complexity however. It could be something appearently trivial but holding an enormous importance even if the reasons aren't evident, or something appearently impossible.
My guidelines are: whatever sounds cool.

In my game, i gave to ad Ebudan the goal of "fix one true love", and i've used the Noah Dungeon in Deimos as party's starting quest. 'till now they are proceeding in exploring the dungeon. Smiley

Nothing like setting them a challenge, is there?

The character plays along the lines of "power corrupts". He's the reincarnation of the fiercest ebudan warrior, who  faced Noah in person when his whole race was cast from the sky, lost and was mutilated of one wing and killed. He sees dreams of such past and is sworn to never let it happen again by killing Noah. To do so, he needs to become Noah in the process; but he has a soul mate since back then, which he rejoined, that by her very nature "reflects" his spiritual condition (partly high water elemental).
The darker he becomes in his pursue of power, the more she suffers and unwillingly darkens. So the concept of the character isn't so much influenced by "can\will he have success?" but more by "how far is he willing to go?".

I'm sorry, I don't quite understand. Did you mean "find one true love"?

There are two elementals who love each other, one of light and one of darkness. The Beryls and Shajads cursed them so they cannot be together, the dark guy is tormented in the dungeon with 99 floors, and light girl have all his screams in her head so she suffer too. She want to free him so they can be together and won't suffer of tortures.

My player got the mission "Defeat the Dragon of Darkness"

He completed that mission at the apex of the dragon's power, and completed his divine mission. Sadly he took the mission to mean 'Kill' and started a whole hornets nest of troubles.

Thanks! I just read that bit now, it's a cool premise and something I'll have to keep in mind as my PCs are currently in Gabriel.

Aw. What, they didn't consider playing chess with the dragon? Or perhaps a rock-off?
