When Maria Death Puppets someone, do they keep the advantage cards? If yes, how does it interact with oddball scenarios like taking over a Wiss character with two cards when you're already at the limit?

Do you party limit?  If so then it doesn't matter since limit is for building parties not for in game.  It would be the same as Veronica stealing more items for your party.  The only thing you have to worry about is how much a unit can attach.

Oh, it does actually say "at the start of the game" next to the total advantage limitation. Never noticed that. Thanks.
