Hey all,

How do places like Port Tibas and Port Rue deal with the massive hurricanes that come through Dwanholf? If the world is only at a 1800's level of technology they shouldn't have the capabilities to fight off the city destroying mega hurricanes.

So what does Dwanholf do to keep from having to rebuild their towns/cities every hurricane?

since even now we mostly seem to just board everything up and ride it out I'd assume they do the same.   Sandbags and wooden planks aren't terribly high-tech.

Yeah, that's probably it. They would just adapt. Build low, sturdy buildings that are also easy to repair if they do get blown apart. They probably have designated storm shelters, either in their individual  homes, or in the center of town. Their boats are probably typically able to be pulled onto shore and tied off. I'm not an expert, but I think that's pretty much what people do IRL.
