Does the Blindness disadvantage counteract the Daimah's natural See the Essence ability?  My inclination is to say yes, but I wanted to see what others think.

I cant look it up right now, but from my memory those are two different kinds of visions - in some cases it might lower the penalty, but it wont replace your "classic" vision.

The book specifically states that it is the eyes that have the ability. If their eyes dont work, for whatever reason, then niether does the ability.

I suppose you could give them a sort of feeling that they get when extremely close (maybe touching) someone/something that they would normally be able to see the nature of.
