I think the Tactics rule book, the big one, also had pretty much the same history chapter as the Gaia one. It's a good place to start as well, but only for the history. You can glean a little bit about the world from reading the character bios in that book as well.

Those Who Walked Among Us also has some info especially on the Black Sun Undead a few of the Summon Creatures Light Maidens, Holy Warriors, Fire Demons, Djinn, and Wraith of Nature.
Any other info we mostly get from our more en"light"en friends from non-English forums. Especially the Spanish community where this game is created. Some time Anime Studio also drops by to enlighten us on their little world by answer some of our questions about it.

Thers is, unfortunately, no history primer or summary outside of the published books that I am aware of. The history is very rich and detailed and I am working on condensing it and sorting out the bits not relevant to my campaign right now, and it's a chore! A fun chore, however.

Agreed. It's half the fun. :)

Also the problem is that every time someone pulls such a combo he gets killed by some kind of Lazarus or such.

Agreed. It's half the fun. But I want the full fun darn it! Where is my Gaia II so I can get even more unsaid mysteries and most powerful, unstoppable, hyperbole facts! -ape2020

Hah! Does anyone know what specifically is supposed to be in the Gaia Worldbook 2? I, for one, have found enough info in book 1 to last my whole campaign. I wouldn't want more land descriptions. I'd want more NPCs or possible plot lines for high-level characters.

I believe that Gaia Volume 2 is mainly about the new continent. I also heard that there might be a new playable race as well

It'll probably bring the timeline and some NPC's 'up to date' for the time following the Breach of the Heavens.

+1 to Sharpandpointies
Surely Eli is now Paladin 7 / Domine 3.
Probably well see the other Warlord, and lots of kings and marines.
I remember barely that AS told that theres 1 or more races or etnities.
