So clear coating doesn't seem to hurt the cotton and it makes it a bit more rigid, so its good =)

anyways, now for something different. Flamers!
I want their bases to be mushrooms..cus they are, in my army, supposed to be mushroom daemons XD Don't feel like trying to sculpt mushroom bases atm though...

Wyrd (German Shop)
They are quite expensive (about 15 Euro) because they are quite big. But they sure look evil, should be appropiate for a disk hero for example. Or a Greater Deamon of Tzeentch

Pilze und Farne (Mushrooms and Farns) from Busch, again German Store

Perhaps, now that you are having pictures and exact article names you are able to find a store next to you selling these. I found a picture of a mini of mine where I used it (on my Ashenvale Nightelves Cheesy)

I saw a tutorial somewhere for mushrooms that made them look really easy (can't find the link now) but the idea was essentially this: take a wire, put a blob of clay on it in a roughly mushroomy shape, let it cure, then sand the blob it with a nail file or something down and voila.

Or you can also go to Armorcast, which has some mushrooms on it.

Love the alternate colour schemes, Melon. With the deamons, please tell me your plage deamons will be cheese themed? Wink

LOL...

It's Warhammer 40K. "Cheesy" referes to something either overpowered, or used for its (overpowered) abilities, rather than theme or fluff. 40K is notorius for power creep (newest list is pretty well always the most powerful), poor rules presentation (lots of loopholes rules lawyers can exploit) bad editing/proofreading (more badly written FAQ's than any other game I know of), and unbalanced army lists (a couple (similar)factions are always kept ahead of the power curve).

At least, thats my opinion. Sorry for the temporary thread-jack, Melon.

Azriel looks absolutely frightening!  Great work!
I love the way Alastor looks as well.
The cloud base for Alis is a brilliant idea.
