Just new to Anima, and haven't played or got any minis yet (we don't have it here yet), but I'll have to say the artwork that caught my attention!

My vote went to rules. Its a cool creative system that's really easy to jump in to. The pace of the game is fantastic. Even when you play against those really slow moving opponents everything feels much faster than other mini games due to alternating one model at a time and both players doing their maintenance and upkeep phases at the same time. Anyway, I could go on for hours about how awesome the system is. The models are beautiful as well. Its also a valid reason to be into this game. I think also the price is a good selling point (worthy of being listed on this poll). I can't think of any other game that after merely $50 you have a full sized army for normal levels of play. The Cipher Crew themselves are another reason I'm so dedicated. They made 2008 the best GenCon (or any convention for that matter) experience I've ever had. This year I'm taking you guys to Rookies on Friday night for karaoke (since it will be my last chance to sing there before moving away...my flight is on the next Thursday). Anyway, their dedication to not only their game, but their players is the best I've seen from any mini company. Even when they inevitably hit that big company size, I don't see them losing their small company mentality that I appreciate so much. Well, that covers most of it. You guys have my undying support

From what I got from the demo I played at Sakura-Con, I really like the rules. The cards are concise, the spells and abilities are well explained, and the action point system allows a depth of strategy not seen in many games. Also, the ability to dodge is just plain cool.
Also, what I like is that the people behind Anima: Tactics actually are excited about the game they are making and miniature wargaming in general. The guy I played against in the demo didn't care he had taken over for my friend who had started the game, and the next couple of turns were pretty darn exciting. Another dude was telling me about this model classified as a Gear, and the piloting system for it. Just real fresh breathes of air after running into so many jaded gaming store employees.

Came in the game by the mini' after the Confrontation conflict.
The rules look promissing but I'm waithing on the rule book for a defenitive conclution on this.

This not the only game with great minis but its the rules and fluff that won me over. I really like how every character is uqnuie, I hate that most mini games require me to by the several of the same mini, even if they are in slightly different poses.
Also, this isn't your typical fantasy setting. I really love how it draws from Final Fantasy's style. Not to mention that every character is getting their own bio in the rulebook. Really helps flesh out the setting and even expanse on the setting in the RPG. Its great how connected the RPG and rulebook are, other mini games have RPGs but they are treated like separate games.

Also, this isn't your typical fantasy setting. I really love how it draws from Final Fantasy's style.
That Id read the rules a long way back, was on another anima tactics forum with alot more posts (I think the official anima site ?) , tough I was constantly asking about grid-based rules wich were mentioned every now and then. the rules reminded me of final fantasy tactics gameplay, and I was really curious to that, as I kinda enjoy that alot later gotten a bit side tracked, partly I have to admit, because it was mostly the early releases that were *wow* for me, then a couple that didnt do alot for me, and recently I once again see great ones, you cant always please everybody I guess (I like Magna carta's flamboyant style of character design and some of the early miniatures had this going on very heavily.. I always call this genre fashionpunk when storing them in inspiration folders :p it occurred to me that the thumbnails for characters by Hyung tae kim, Wen-m and others were very similair to my girlfriends thumbnails of the latest galliano fashion show ---> fashionpunk) that said, dont expect heavy activity from me here I have only little forum time, but like to wake up with lurking over some forums, and also wanna track whats happening with HellDorado

Was heavily into the MK tournament scene when WK were riding high, since then have been looking for something that gives me the same level of enjoyment and strategic complexity. Been looking at AT for a while and recently decided to dive in, and look at it on the table as it were. Have not been disappointed, although am hoping that a few grey areas are cleared up in the new rulebook, which will drive the gameplay forward and give the options of both truly competitive tournament play and kitchen table fun Having said that, the miniatures are great (even if I'm having to pin most of the joints to make them really solid), well detailed which really comes out when you give them their base coat and really dynamic (which is essential in small skirmish games). Playing with friends is really good also, already convinced a few of the local gamers to buy into it, hoping to develop that into a good local community. But without a solid rules set the other two don't give longevity to the game, which is why I chose the rules as my favourite thing.
