Hi everyone, these are the first HD minis I painted back in the day. I need to take some pics of my newer paint jobs.

Great job on Chams, really.
For Nazir I find the skin too pale. It misses some contrast between his clothes and his flesh.
But it's probably more a matter of opinion than a technical problem.

I like the Djinn a lot. The transitions look smooth and the jewl is well done. The only thing I don't like is the sword. It looks like NMM, but can't convince me to look right. The highlights don't seem to be where they belong.

Nazirs ride looks cool. I really like the skintone you did, the transitions are really smooth. The "skirt" fits well, a nice touch with the stains. Nazir himself seems to be too flat. The light skintone doesn't work for me with his white cloth. Maybe it would have been better if you had chosen a different skin tone. A bit stronger, though still light, would have made the skin stand out from the clothes and thus differentiate the areas better.

All in all to great minis, each with some really small points of critique for me. Nice work and keep'em coming.

Hello all, started painting again and getting around to taking some pictures, starting with Husaym Al Din. Really nice model and I tried airbrushing the main colour and highlights. Worked ok but there is no hiding sloppy prep-work with an airbrush Undecided Comments and critiques welcome.

Superb work. Very smooth and clean paint job! And with the simple sand bases the focus is on the models.

An older job of Jafar I finally took a photo of, it was my first go at a flame effect and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. If I had my time again I'd try to keep more whites and yellows in the recesses to make him appear hotter.

Good work with the Husaym Al Din! I am also thinking about painting it in different (the official) colors Smiley
The best part painted   are the blades - really smooth blending!

Yes. I'll admit I stole the idea for OSL on my Husyam's eyes from your model. Smiley

Isn't that the greatest form of flattery when you steal someone else's ideas? Smiley

Glad I could help Wink The green on Husaym is the old rackham fluoro green and yellow. Used too much, they start to look gimmicky but in small doses they are really effective. Infinity eyes and glowy bits especially.
