Now I know I'm new to the game and have almost certainly missed out on this miniature... however that wouldn't annoy me if the standard Celia miniature wasn't so dire. Its dreadful, one of the worst sculpts I've seen in years, which given the standard of the rest of the Anima range is a bit of a shocker. I asked my stockist here in the UK and he was pretty sure not a single one made it to the UK shores. In fact its really hard to get hold of Anima Tactics stuff here in the UK. Any who is there any chance Cipher are going to reverse the silly decision to make the far superior model a limited edition OR that they'll re-sculpt some of the weaker models in the range? I have a fair few friends who'd play the game here in the UK but getting hold of things over here is bloody hard.

I have to disagree.  the regular Celia sculpt is quite good.  Fits the original Concept art and is a well done sculpt.  If you think that's the worst sculpt I'm guessing you don't look at a lot of minis. lol

The sculpt may be a weaker design aestetically, but it's a solid sculpt in my opinion.  But it's the model that started me buying Anima Tactics.

I'm afraid I do look at an awful lot of minis and I will stick by my original assessment that its one of the worst sculpts I've seen in years. There are others in the Anima Tactics range that have similar problems with composition looking physically awkward and flat as well as the faces being poorly realised.

Some of the Anima Tactics stuff is truly fantastic for the scale, while this version of Celia is just poor in my opinion. I'm not too sure I like the boob showing nature of the limited edition Celia either but I can tell from the pictures that the quality of the sculpt is superior in every conceivable way.

I've been doing the hobby since I was 5 and gaming from 9, I'm now 31, my father was involved in the fledging fantasy wargaming industry here in the UK when I was growing up, I've painted and pinned more models than I care to mention. I myself have been involved in the industry and for me its weak. You can take what I say with a pinch of salt and I'm sure you will, but those are my honest and genuine opinions.

Wasn't trying to pick a fight, just teasing.  No need to throw credentials at me.  I'm 36 and have similar background and even helped make the Strange Aeons miniature game.  Not trying to play the "whose is bigger" game.  Those are some way worse sculpts. Wink

I'm just pointing out that it's your opinion, as I don't see anything really wrong with the sculpt, except maybe the arms not being the best pieces for assembly.  And I agree the LE sculpt is a superior sculpt if a bit on the cheesecake side.

Breten I made it clear in the first post that it was my opinion. You and no one else for that matter have answered or even attempted to shed light on my first posts questions. Is there any chance they'll reverse the decision to keep Ceilia limited? Because to be honest if I had paid for a freelance sculptor to sculpt a mini and it turned out to be superior in every single conceivable way I wouldn't be sitting their saying "lets only sell a few of these ok?". Couldn't imagine Corvus Belli, Games Workshop or Privateer Press for that matter doing that, Just bad business sense.

Maybe there's a good reason they are releasing it, and yes its a bit cheesecake this new Celia sculpt but it is a much better sculpt. I'm guessing the first few sculpts they did they used cheaper sculptors or not quite as good a production method, but some of the models are weak I thinking of Saint Astraegea, Duncan Reid and Khaine D'elacreu as well. Its clear that Cipher as a company have moved on in terms of the quality of miniatures why not readdress some of their poorer miniatures? In Celia they've already done that, but they're not making it available!!! Madness.

i have to agree with sirangry on the celia sculpt, the LE model is so much better than the standard model.
i tried to get hold of this model some months ago when i first got into anima tactics and was told that it was released some time ago, but some did make it into the uk and i found one on ebay, unfortunatly it was going for more than £100 and im sorry but no mini is worth that, i dont care how LE it is!!!!

Yep I totally agree. Its quite annoying that its difficult to find any Anima Tactics stuff in the UK and more importantly they need to re=release that Ceilia model the standard one is woeful. lol. Where abouts in the UK are you Dogboy? I'm in the West Midlands, finding Anima players can be tough.

Yep that's the story I hear from everyone in the UK with regards to AT. I've used Arcane Miniatures before and tbh the service wasn't the best and considering they have no physical shop getting hold of them can be... problematic.
