A lot of Tabletop games have their own wiki's. Should we organize one for Hell Dorado? Seems like it may make getting into the game a little easier.

Go for it.  I can provide web-space for free, or, start using wiki-spaces.

If I host it, someone will need to buy the domain name, but I can install the software, but I can't run it, I don't have the wiki background.  I can also provide data input, but again, setting up the wiki once it's installed will have to fall to someone else to manage and moderate it.

Oh 'hell' yes Wink
I'm lucky in that the guy I normally play against is like a Hell Dorado encyclopedia. If he wasn't around though, I would definitely need access to a wiki to clarify some things.

Why not create an account on

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:UserLogin&returnto=Main+Page&campaign=ACP1

and build it out from there, rather than having independent wikis such as the battle college for another popular gaming system?

Maybe a job for the man from Cipher - then all their games can have a presence.

I doubt any of them want or have the time to spend doing so when more important things need to be done to keep up a release schedule.

I definitely feel that this will need to come from us players rather than cipher. From what I hear, the boys at cipher have enough on their plate. It is achievable to create a fan made wiki, just look at pullmyfinger.com, the malifaux wiki as a great example.

Well, I gave my two cents.

Use Wikispaces or I can host it.  I just don't want to be responsible for annual domain registration (around $10).  I'd even set up the wiki to get it rolling.  I just don't know the back end of the wiki software and dont' have time to invest in it for you guys.

Perhaps starting something here on the forums is better short term?

The French website (www.helldorado.fr) is now handled by french players. Maybe it would be possible to host the wiki there. I'm gonna see with the new webmaster.

The idea is good, but I hope it won't look like just a list of combo.

Infinity has great wiki pages, mainly focused on rules and FAQ. I would be glad to see a HD equivalent.
